More about Ryan:

Ryan is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of St. Thomas in Houston.

Ryan’s clinical experience includes The Montrose Center working with adolescents and adults in the LGBTQIA+ community and with those coping with relationship and sexual issues. Ryan also spent several years working on the women’s unit at a psychiatric hospital where she specialized in trauma and crisis management. Ryan went on to work as a school-based therapist for adolescent survivors of violent crimes and then as an individual therapist.

In the most recent years of Ryan started her own private practice specializing in trauma therapy. Ryan’s practice centers on trauma informed care through EMDR, Internal Family Systems, and Somatic Experiencing. Ryan’s recent work with trauma has included working in a more somatic (body based) approach, especially with individuals who have chronic health conditions.

In her personal life, Ryan is passionate about arts, culture and music. Ryan got her undergraduate degree in photography and enjoys working with people doing portrait photography. Some of her interests are live music, meditation, thrifting, and exploring the best nature spots for swimming.
